The Department of Agriculture (DA) welcomed the US$34.1-million grant from the United States to develop the Philippines’ ube (purple yam) industry, which is expected to benefit more than 12,500 Filipino farmers.
Remember that this investment aims to foster the growth of the ube industry, a vibrant and bustling segment in the country’s agricultural landscape. In light of the above, the grant will enable various activities to enhance and revolute the sector.
