NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The Nebraska International Port of the Plains is moving forward with a new commercial lease agreement with a Nebraska-based agricultural manufacturer.

Wearparts, an American manufacturer and supplier of aftermarket agricultural tillage and planting components, with its headquarters in Gothenburg, Nebraska, serves the agricultural industry by providing components used in farming equipment for tillage and planting operations.

The approved agreement establishes a commercial leasing arrangement between Wearparts and the Nebraska International Port of the Plains.

“So one of the other things that I make sure I point out is there are a couple of places in that floor, where there were rails, actual rails. We’ve got most of the bolts but there are two or three places in there that there is an actual rail. That is going to have to be cut out,” said Robert Stefka, board member.

Port officials also discussed specific details of the lease agreement, including its duration and financial terms.
