Agriculture and Petroleum Ministries Reject Reduction in Fertilizer Subsidy Quota
Egypt’s Agriculture and Petroleum Ministries have denied reports of a planned cut to the fertilizer subsidy quota, which currently stands at 2.4 million metric tons.
"In summary," said an official from the Agriculture Ministry, "the government is committed to ensuring stable food security and supporting farmers with adequate fertilizer supplies."
This statement comes amidst speculations that the subsidy might be reduced as a cost-cutting measure.
