Arkansas State Fair stresses importance of agriculture

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Livestock is a significant part of the Arkansas State Fair, with numerous competitions and exhibitors showcasing their animals. These include hogs, sheep, goats, cows, and rabbits, among others.
Scharidi Barber, the livestock director, emphasizes the dedication and time required to prepare each animal for competition. She notes that exhibitors travel long distances and wake up early to feed and care for their animals daily.
The competitions begin on Monday evening and continue throughout the week.
