Brentsville District High School’s agriculture program will install a 30-by-30-foot hoop house thanks to a $5,000 grant from Sprouts Farmers Market.

"I am so excited to get it up and have a different type of greenhouse for all of the students to see. All of our students can use it and learn things that are useful for them to feed themselves and their families," said agriculture teacher Amy Beard. "This is such a blessing to have, thank you Sprout Farmers Market."

The hoop house, which requires no heating or cooling, will be used by the program's students. Plans include growing thornless raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, and greens for the Bengal Cafe. Special education teacher Allison Miller will collaborate on a farm-to-table program. Tractor Supply in Woodbridge is contributing raised beds to the project.
