A Program to Bridge the Skills Gap in Ag Technology

AgCentric is addressing a growing need for skilled technicians in agricultural technology, robotics, and automation. As Keith Olander, executive director of AgCentric, notes, "We have known for a number of years shortages in these areas... We don’t have technicians readily available..."
The Program's Approach
The initiative offers professional development to secondary teachers while collaborating with post-secondary programs. Forty percent of the educators trained are from Minnesota, with participants also coming from 32 other states.
