The Carolina Classic Fair is back in Winston-Salem, bringing nearly 50 rides, live entertainment, agricultural exhibits, and plenty of fair food to the city from October 2 to 11 at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds.
Key Highlights:

Rides and Midway: Featuring nearly 50 rides for all ages, from thrilling adventures to attractions for younger children and families.

Fair Food: Traditional favorites like funnel cakes, corn dogs, and cotton candy, plus new options like Greek specialties and candy-coated fruit.

Agricultural Exhibits: Livestock displays, a petting zoo, pig races, and Agricadabra, a show combining magic with lessons on agriculture and healthy eating.

Entertainment: Twiggy the Water-Skiing Squirrel, chainsaw-carving demonstrations, live music featuring R&B and soul performances on October 4, and Hispanic Heritage Day on October 11 with music, performances, and cultural activities.

Special Events:
- Hot dog eating contest on October 8 at 7 p.m.
- Joey Chestnut appearance (separate, ticketed event) at 5:30 p.m. before the contest.
Admission and Hours:
- Regular Admission: $10 (plus $3 surcharge at the gate), children 5 and younger admitted free.
- Opening Hours:
- Sunday through Friday: 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. (Ticket gates close at 9 p.m.)
- Saturdays: 9 a.m. - 11 p.m. (Ticket gates close at 9 p.m.)
- Midway Opens:
- Weekdays: 12 p.m.
- Saturdays: 9 a.m.
- Sundays: 11 a.m.
