Cost Share Assistance Available for Livestock Water Efficiency Project
The Kansas Department of Agriculture’s Division of Conservation announces the availability of funds in the form of cost share assistance and incentive payments to assist commercial feedlots and dairy operations with livestock water efficiency technology.
This initiative is part of the state’s ongoing effort to encourage water conservation and address water challenges. It aims to enhance and/or upgrade current large-scale livestock watering systems by providing financial support for practices such as:
- Upgrading to high-efficiency livestock waterers
- Implementing water controls
- Adopting water recycling systems
Applications are accepted from October 14 to November 6. Eligible applicants must hold a valid water right for stock water in Kansas. Funding is allocated from the State Water Plan Fund, and the program is administered by KDA–DOC in collaboration with the State Conservation Commission.
