Posted by Shantelle Malcolm-Lym on October 15, 2026
Frederick County will host the first county-based cohort of the NASDA Foundation’s Farm2Food Accelerator in January 2027. This initiative aims to empower farmers and food businesses through training in developing and marketing products utilizing locally sourced agricultural ingredients.
The Frederick County Office of Agriculture is introducing this 12-week program to support local agricultural businesses in value-added agriculture, enabling them to diversify their revenue streams. Participants will gain insights into product development, food safety, marketing, pricing, and sales from national food industry experts.
Katie Stevens, Director of the Frederick County Office of Agriculture, shared, "Farm2Food will give local farmers the tools, knowledge, and connections they need to turn great ideas into successful products. By fostering value-added agriculture, we are strengthening farm businesses and shaping the future of agriculture in Frederick County."
An informational session will be held virtually on October 22, 4-5 p.m. for those interested in learning more about the program. Advance registration is required.
