La Novia Farm Celebrates New Chapter in Regenerative Agriculture

A new chapter in local agriculture is taking root in San Juan Capistrano. The Ecology Center, the city, and St. Margaret’s Episcopal School recently celebrated the completion of La Novia Farm, a two-acre regenerative farm designed to promote sustainable food production and environmental education. Fifth-grade students helped plant fava beans and chickpeas during the celebration, getting a firsthand look at regenerative farming. Future harvests will be served in St. Margaret’s dining program, connecting students to the food they eat while demonstrating how small spaces can support healthier local food systems.
