PepsiCo is combining artificial intelligence (AI), regenerative agriculture and agronomic expertise to help farmers build more resilient farming systems, improve soil health and use resources more efficiently. Through partnerships with specialised agricultural technology providers, the company aims to equip farmers with practical tools and insights to make better-informed decisions and prepare for the future of agriculture.

Technology and Regenerative Practices Support Farmers

Successful farmers are essential to PepsiCo's business, and the company sees regenerative agriculture, supported by technology and strong agronomy, as an important way to strengthen agricultural resilience. Its network of specialised ag-tech providers includes AgroScout, CropX and Grimme, which help bring practical technologies and data-driven insights to farmers.

These approaches aim to help farmers identify potential risks earlier, respond more quickly to changing conditions and manage their operations with greater precision. By combining agricultural expertise with technology and regenerative practices, PepsiCo seeks to support improved soil health, more efficient resource use and the long-term sustainability of farming operations.

Perry Family Farm Prepares for the Next Generation

In southern Alberta, Canada, the Perry Family Farm demonstrates how these approaches can support long-term agricultural resilience. The fourth-generation family farm has cultivated the same land since 1909 and has grown potatoes for Lay's potato chips for 45 years.

As the Perry family looks towards the future, PepsiCo is working alongside the farm to strengthen its long-term resilience and support the next generation of farmers. The collaboration reflects the company's broader efforts to help farming families maintain productive operations while adapting to evolving agricultural challenges.

In the latest episode of Made Possible, Dr. Athina Kanioura, PepsiCo's CEO of Latin America Foods and global chief strategy and transformation officer, and Jim Andrew, the company's executive vice president and chief sustainability officer, discuss how AI and regenerative agriculture can help farmers such as the Perry family identify risks earlier, respond faster and make more precise decisions.

Through these initiatives, PepsiCo is highlighting the role of technology, agronomy and regenerative practices in supporting farmers and building a more connected and resilient agricultural ecosystem.
