Two TC3 Students Selected for National Leadership Program
Two Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3) students have been selected for a prestigious national leadership program focused on agriculture, natural resources, and related industries.
Bailee Cotterill and Von Tarantelli, both majoring in Sustainable Farming and Food Systems at TC3, are among 35 students nationwide chosen for the 2026-27 ASPIRE Student Leadership Program through the Community College Alliance for Agriculture Advancement.
The program brings together students from 15 community colleges across 12 states for a year of leadership development, professional networking, and career exploration. Throughout the year, participants will attend monthly professional development webinars and complete community service leadership projects designed to address needs on their campuses or in their communities.
TC3 Farm Director and ASPIRE advisor Todd McLane will support Cotterill and Tarantelli.
The students attended the organization’s national conference in San Antonio, Texas, from November 1-4, where they connected with agricultural educators and industry professionals. They will also travel to Washington, D.C., from February 15-19, 2027, to meet with members of New York’s congressional delegation and learn more about agricultural policy and advocacy.
